Thank God ! You guys are out there! I have some hope that intelligent life does exist.
Far too many people do not care about anything at all unless it involves their or heir circle's pleasure, reputation, finances, power, etc. For a lot of people if it goes beyond themselves, and their circle, they do not care about the important things. Like History, and science which is undeniably vital to our survival, and advancement. I want to thank you Vlog brothers for taking such a large role in contributing such an important service to society. You can show that education , and information does not have to be long, drawn-out , and boring to be effective. Keep up the good work !

Hey guys, do you think you could do less light flickering? It makes those sections of the videos harder to watch. Otherwise, awesome work on all the Crash Course motion graphics!

I completely agree, Joe! Adbusters has done a few articles about Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, which looks like a great book on the topic.

I really feel the same way Julia... I'm glad that you are putting this out there! In reading your post though i feel you missed one of the key elements of our disappearing education system, nature. At the risk of sounding like an 80 year old: kids nowadays, for the most part, don't play outside and this is one of the best teaching methods of all time. Unfortunately even the education system has seemed to have forgotten that in order for children to understand the importance of our natural environment they must experience it first hand, if every child played outside a little more they would learn to appreciate the awesome vast beauty and fragility of the planet. Maybe then would we stop finding those little plastic straw wrappers everywhere (amongst other pollution ;-) ). If we want to promote any kind of change the first place to start (after dealing with our own habits of course) is definitely in our schools.
